Deadline extended to apply for SQ Hub creative workspace

The deadline for screen sector companies and individual practitioners to apply for residency in SQ Hub is extended to 25 January at 5pm.

SQ Hub, a new shared workspace to open in 2018, has been created with investment from the Queensland Government through Screen Queensland.

SQ Hub supports the growth of local screen businesses, and encourages collaboration and innovation to deliver a sustainable film industry in Queensland.

SQ Hub is a shared work space and incubator based in Teneriffe which offers subsidised office and meeting facilities.

SQ Hub provides an opportunity for tenants to work and collaborate in an open plan space with access to meeting rooms and a program of events

Screen Queensland has appointed Caitlin Boucher as Community Manager for SQ Hub. Ms Boucher will coordinate an engaging program of business-focused workshops, masterclasses, mentorship and networking opportunities to foster a dynamic community of screen innovators.

The shared space is located close to public transport and will include internet, electricity, kitchen access, shower access, security and wheelchair accessibility.

SQ Hub offers subsidised rent of $200 including GST per month, per desk.

Further subsidies are available for applicants seeking to stay for six months or more, or organisations seeking multiple desks within the space. Hotdesks will be available for short term residencies and casual tenants.

There will also be temporary space available for regional practitioners who may be travelling to Brisbane for meetings or to further their projects.

For enquiries or to set up a meeting regarding your application, please contact the SQ Hub Community Manager at 0405 567 991 or cboucher@screenqld.com.au.
