The Perfect Pitch – two day masterclass for factual producers

Applications open today for a two day pitching masterclass for factual producers

You’ve created the best idea on earth, but if you can’t describe it and pitch it, it’s going nowhere. This masterclass teaches everything you need to know about pitching from the elevator / speed dating pitch, describing your show in a sentence, a paragraph, writing a one pager, naming your show, whether you need tape and if so, how to construct sizzle & casting reels, and the actual physical pitch.

Early to mid-career factual producers based in Queensland are invited to apply for a two day masterclass focusing on how to perfect their pitch. This is a tailored opportunity to develop projects prior to practitioners applying for The Factory, AIDC’s one-day international pitching forum for factual screen content, on 6 March 2018.

The Mischief Sisters (Alison Black and Marion Farrelly) will run the masterclass and share their vast industry experience in content creation to offer a meaningful industry focussed training course. http://www.themischiefsisters.com/

The masterclass will take place at the Screen Queensland office on Tuesday 5 December and Wednesday 6 December 2017. Applications for The Factory at AIDC close 18 December 2017.  Further info on The Factory: http://www.aidc.com.au/2017/get-involved/the-factory.

What do I need to do to apply?

Applicants will need to complete the online application form, including three factual projects on their slate and outlining how these projects fit into a wider career strategy.

Applications open 3 October 2017 at 5pm and close at midnight, 14 November 2017. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Places are limited.
