Screen Queensland announces the travel and marketing recipients for the World Congress of Science and Factual Producers

Screen Queensland (SQ) is supporting five mid-career Queensland screen practitioners to attend the World Congress of Science and Factual Producers (WCSFP) taking place in Brisbane from 27 – 30 November 2018.

The WCSFP brings together leading international content producers and scientists with broadcasters and key industry decision makers across science, history, and other non-fiction content production. The recipients will be able to meet with decision makers, pitch projects and gain market intelligence.

SQ is providing total funding value of $7,500 which will contribute to the registration, travel and accommodation costs associated with attending the event.

The successful recipients are:

Commissioning editors from major international broadcasters and networks will attend the WCSFP such as ABC, SBS Discovery Channel, Science Channel (USA), National Geographic (USA), ARTE (France), BBC (UK), CBC (Canada), iwonder (Singapore) Channel 4, France Télévisions, ZDF (Germany) Television, NHK (Japan) and more.

The WCSFP was attracted to Brisbane by the Queensland Government, Screen Queensland, Brisbane Marketing, ABC and SBS and runs from 27-30 November 2018. The event is also being supported by Screen Australia.
