Screen Queensland to support local games practitioners to attend Game Connect Asia Pacific (GCAP) and PAX

Screen Queensland (SQ) will support a delegation of Queensland games developers to attend this year’s Game Connect Asia Pacific (GCAP) and PAX in Melbourne in October 2017.

SQ will provide funding to assist up to 10 local games practitioners to attend Australia’s premier game development conference GCAP from 24-25 October 2017 and PAX from 27-29 October 2017. Both are on at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Funding can be used to support the costs of event registration, travel and accommodation. Funding for game developers launching a game at PAX will also be considered. Please note funding is capped at $1000 AUD per person or $1500 for group applicants.

This funding is aimed to support Queensland games developers, boosting the profile of the local industry and its ability to connect Australia-wide and internationally.

This opportunity – part of Screen Queensland’s commitment to grow a successful games industry in the state – will enable successful applicants to engage with industry experts and market players.
