Screen Queensland to support YouTube entrepreneurs – Learn more at an information session on 15 August

Queensland-based content creators looking to grow audiences on YouTube can take their digital businesses to the next level through Screen Queensland’s new $150,000 YouTube Entrepreneur program.

The YouTube Entrepreneur program, to open in August, will invite proposals from content creators with targeted strategic plans to expand their YouTube audience and business.

The program will invest in strategies to increase or diversify content, improve skills, boost marketing, collaborate with other content creators within and beyond the YouTube platform, or engage new audiences in innovative ways.

In preparation for the program’s opening, Screen Queensland will host an information session and group discussion on 15 August in Brisbane, to be led by Andrew Webster, VP Content (Business and Audience). This will be an opportunity for content creators to talk informally about their goals and strategies, and learn more about the program.

If you are unable to attend the information session, you can contact Andrew directly to discuss your proposal.

To register your interest in attending the session or discuss your proposal, contact awebster@screenqld.com.au or call 07 3248 0500.

The YouTube Entrepreneur program is the second outcome of a three-year partnership between Screen Queensland and YouTube.

Launched in 2016, the inaugural round paired Queensland producers with a YouTube content maker to collaborate on a new series. Pop Culture Inspired Fashion was the recipient, with producer Adam Fowler and executive producer Steven Geddes producing the series for Brisbane-based fashion Vlogger Katie Orlowski’s popular YouTube channel.
