Major Gold Coast Facilities
Queensland’s Gold Coast has been the heart of the state’s thriving screen industry for more than 30 years. It boasts high quality studios and production facilities located close to stunning locations, airports and experienced crews. A famously film-friendly region, the City of Gold Coast was the first Queensland council to introduce a local film incentive. The studios are a 45-minute drive south of the Brisbane International Airport and a 30-minute drive from Gold Coast Airport with both located just off the Pacific Highway and near diverse filming locations.
VILLAGE ROADSHOW STUDIOS
One of the largest studio lots in the Southern Hemisphere.
Village Roadshow Studios offers:

All sound stages are equipped with current industry standard facilities including air conditioning, extraction fans, steel grids and catwalks. The stages vary in size in an overall floor area of 10,844m2 (116,727sqft). Stage 9 is the largest sound stage in Australia, measuring 80m (262ft) in length, 47m (154ft) in width and 18m (59ft) in height.

Village Roadshow Studios' Main Tank is the largest purpose built water tank in Australia, with a surface area of 1,200m2 (12,915sqft).
Village Roadshow Studios provide a comprehensive support network of experienced film service companies conveniently located on the lot. These companies can provide production services, casting, camera, lighting, rigging, travel/freight, post production facilities, Drone Cameras, Lidar Scanning, EWP Equipment, Film facility vehicles , I.T Support and a Student training facility. A one stop shop for all your filming needs.
PINNACLE STUDIOS
The Gold Coast’s leading independent production hub.
Pinnacle Studios is one of Queensland’s premier independent film and television production facilities, located in the heart of the Gold Coast.
In Q4 2026, Pinnacle Studios will expand its offering with the opening of two purpose-built sound stages totalling more than 4,365m² (46,985 sq ft), complemented by a four-level production office complex spanning over 3,319m² (35,725 sq ft), green rooms, dressing rooms, a private 36-seat DCI-compliant screening room, secure underground parking, and a private leasable event space with rooftop terrace. The studio currently offers two practical production spaces at 820m² (8,826 sq ft) and 1,548m² (16,662 sq ft), providing flexible production solutions within its prime Gold Coast location.
The studio is carbon neutral, with more than 750kW of solar capacity across its buildings and features an on-site café providing convenient catering solutions for productions.
Pinnacle Studios is also home to ProxiVP, delivering world-class action design and virtual production services for the film, games, and entertainment industries, utilising Unreal Engine technology and data capture from pre-visualisation through to post-production.
