Screen Queensland is committed to providing financial support, skills development and talent opportunities for Queensland-based games companies and practitioners.

Games companies and practitioners can apply for support via the Digital Games Incentive, Game Grants, and Market funding program.

Projects supported by Screen Queensland include the multiple award-winning game Unpacking by Witch Beam, Ardent Roleplay by Ardacious and Phantom Abyss by Team WIBY.

Funding

Digital Games Incentive

The Digital Games Incentive is the most competitive in Australia, offering a 15% rebate to support established companies to develop a game with a minimum $250,000 spend within Queensland.

Game Grants

The Game Grants aim to support the growth of the video games industry in Queensland, providing up to $90,000 in funding for local developers and studios to create digital games.

Market

Apply for registration and travel support to attend game conferences and markets.
