If you’re from North or Far North Queensland, you can now get your start in the games industry through a paid nine-month internship, full-time with Gameloft Brisbane.
Screen Queensland is supporting one emerging developer from North or Far North Queensland to work in Brisbane as a Games Development Intern with the award-winning studio who brought us iconic titles like Carmen Sandiego and The Oregon Trail. The role offers an unmissable opportunity to contribute to live projects working alongside and learning from experienced mentors.
The internship is open to emerging developers from any specialisation background (3D art, game design, programming, UI/UX etc) who have never been employed in the games industry before.
As a Games Development Intern, you will be part of a project team, contributing to the design, quality and creative direction of a game currently in development.
The NQ Games Development Internship with Gameloft Brisbane is delivered as part of our North Queensland Regional Program.
WHO CAN APPLY?
Applicants must:
- be a North or Far North Queensland resident for at least 6 months prior to applying
- be over 18 years of age
- not be a current student, studying either full-time or part-time
The ideal applicant will:
- have recently completed a qualification or be self-taught in games development, computer science, graphic design or interaction design
- have no prior experience working in the games industry
- be passionate about games and eager to grow in a supportive workplace
- be a clear communicator and team player
- be curious, creative and motivated
- be comfortable using industry-standard tools
- be a strong creative thinker and problem-solver.
