The Screen Queensland Games Residency is a 52-week program for early-career game developers, focused on developing the skills and knowledge required to develop new games and games studios.
Operating in the style of an Artist-In-Residence program, ten successful participants will be provided with co-working space, access to leading industry experts, business mentoring and income support.
Background
Gary has a Bachelor of Information Technology and Computer Science from Queensland University of Technology. His experience centres around development using Unreal Engine.
Residency Project
His focus during his time as a Games Resident is to create mini-games for Fortnite using the new Unreal Editor feature through the game. Gary’s game, Devil in the Dust, is an autoduel game with light RPG elements.
Residency Goals
Through Screen Queensland’s Games Residency program, Gary hopes to gain valuable industry experience and connections. He hopes the experience will open doors to making a living in the games industry and creating games that bring joy to others.
