Nomo Art Studio

The Screen Queensland Games Residency is a 52-week program for early-career game developers, focused on developing the skills and knowledge required to develop new games and games studios.

Operating in the style of an Artist-In-Residence program, ten successful participants will be provided with co-working space, access to leading industry experts, business mentoring and income support.

Background

Jasmine migrated to Australia in 2017 from the Philippines where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Game Design and Development. She has worked as a 2D artist and animator for 10 years. Currently, she divides her time between freelancing, the Games Residency program and raising her daughter, Noemi.

Project Partners

Julian Beiboer and Jessica Lyon

Residency Project

Jasmine has teamed up with other residents Jess and Julian of Fat Alien Cat, to give her artistic expertise to the room decorator game Momento. The game is a cozy room decorator with a twist that explores how we imbue everyday objects with meaning and the effect they have on our life decisions.

Residency Goals

Through Screen Queensland’s Games Residency program, Jasmine hopes to set a strong foundation for her company, Nomo Art Studio, build connections within the Queensland games industry and launch the vertical slice for Momento to be released as a demo.
