BitSummit Japan Market and Travel Grants

Screen Queensland is supporting the developers behind up to three projects to attend BitSummit in Kyoto this July.

BitSummit is Japan’s leading indie games showcase, attracting publishers, investors, platform holders and media from across the Asia Pacific region.

Through our Market and Travel Grants, Screen Queensland will support delegates with up to $3,000 (excluding GST) per project.

This support covers registration, travel and accommodation expenses for the developers to attend BitSummit 2025.

As part of the delegation, recipients are also encouraged to also attend IGEA’s Osaka World Expo networking event following BitSummit on Tuesday 22 July. At the event, developers can demo their game and network with international attendees.

Applicants interested in attending the Osaka World Expo event should register their attendance here prior to applying for this grant.

Applicants acceptation into IGEA’s BitSummit delegation are welcome to also apply for Screen Queensland’s Market and Travel Grants.

HOW WILL MY APPLICATION BE ASSESSED?

Applications will be assessed by:

  • the potential impact of success at the market
  • the positive effect that attending the conference will have on your career
  • the viability of your pitch and strategy for BitSummit
  • details of the proposed meetings
  • preference will be given to those also attending the Osaka World Expo event.
