Screenworks’ Regional Crew Pathways Program

Screenworks’ Regional Crew Pathways program, delivered in partnership with Netflix, the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) and Screen Queensland, is returning to the state. The program provides practical skills and networking as well as on-the-job training and experience to emerging crew, bolstering our regional crew base.

Through the program, 20 emerging crew from across Regional Queensland will have the opportunity to participate in AFTRS’ On-Set Onboarding course, held on the Sunshine Coast from Tuesday 9 to Thursday 11 December.

One of the 20 participants will then have the opportunity for a paid 6-month placement beginning in January.

WHO CAN APPLY?

Screenworks’ Regional Crew Pathways Program is open to applicants who:

  • have been Queensland residents for at least six months prior to applying
  • are living at least 100km from the Brisbane and Gold Coast Central Business Districts
  • are over 18 years of age
  • have one of the following:
    • an industry-related qualification
    • experience creating content
    • relevant, transferrable skills from other industries (hospitality, HMU, event management, carpentry etc.)
  • have not worked in a paid role in the industry prior to applying
  • are not currently a student
  • are available to attend the three day workshop and, if selected, 6-month placement in full.
