ShowdownDOC, presented by the Sunshine Coast Screen Collective with support from Screen Queensland, is a talent incubator initiative that provides emerging regional screen creatives the opportunity to bring their unscripted/factual concept to production.

Accepting projects at all stages of development, the initiative is looking for bold stories with strong audience and impact potential.

Four projects will be shortlisted, each receiving development mentoring from industry experts, before one winning project is selected for production.

The winning project will receive up to $100,000 in production funding and an additional $50,000 worth of production costs such as insurance, administration, payroll, production management and BTS content capture managed by the Sunshine Coast Screen Collective.

While creatively ambitious storytelling is encouraged, projects must also demonstrate a practical production pathway within the allocated budget and timeline.
