Screen Queensland has partnered with Fremantle Australia to launch a brand-new sustainability internship program for the screen industry — the first of its kind in Australia.
Managed by Fremantle Australia, the program will offer one emerging screen practitioner the opportunity to work on the Gold Coast-based series Rock Island Mysteries (Season 2) as the Environmental Steward Intern.
The successful candidate will commence the internship in mid-February for an approximate 6-week production schedule.

JOB DESCRIPTION
This is a brand-new opportunity to train as an Environmental Steward on Fremantle’s popular children’s series Rock Island Mysteries, filming on the Gold Coast.
You will work across all departments of production, liaising with key crew and spend time sorting and recycling waste products to help reduce the show’s overall carbon footprint. You will be resourceful, organised, have strong people skills and care strongly about the environment.
Applicants will need to have direct experience working in production and on set.
Internship Period:
15 February – 3 April 2023 (approximately 6 weeks including 1 pre-production day and 1 post-production day).
