Screen Queensland has partnered with Screenworks to deliver Production Accounting Essentials: Far North Queensland, as part of Screen Queensland’s North Queensland Regional Program.

Led by screen industry accounting leaders Moneypenny, this two-day skills development workshop will cover:

  • Fundamental skills and temperament required to become a successful Production Accountant.
  • Requirements of a production accountant during the Pre-Production, Shoot and Post Production phases.
  • Production Budget, Cashflow, Payroll, Cost Reporting and Federal and State Incentives.

This short course is ideal for those with some knowledge and experience of accounting who wish to transfer those skills to the film and television industry, or production professionals wishing to add another string to their bow.

This will be delivered in person by Jill Hewitt, Training Director at Moneypenny Services. She is a financial controller and industry mentor to emerging production accountants across Australia.

To be considered for a place, candidates will need to complete the registration process, provide a resume and answer the questions.

All registrations will be assessed by representatives from Screen Queensland, Screenworks and Moneypenny.

Successful candidates will be notified by email by Wednesday 20th April 2022.

As per the current Queensland health guidelines, all attendees will need to check-in via the Check In Qld app and show proof of vaccination status when attending the workshop.

If these requirements change, we will inform selected participants and registered attendees.
