Screen Queensland is pleased to support a 6-month paid internship with PlaySide Studios as part of our Digital Games Incentive.
PlaySide Studios is looking for a Software Engineer Intern to work closely with UI Artists, Designers and Games Engineers on a major VR game project to ensure technical compatibility and enhance user experience.
The Software Engineer Intern will oversee the overall progress of tasks within the project, coordinating efforts to address bugs, and adeptly pinpointing the underlying causes of complex issues, including elusive native crashes. You will work closely with UI Artists, Designers and Games Engineers on a major VR game project to ensure technical compatibility and enhance user experience.
Specific attributes, skills, qualifications and experience:
- Experience in Front end Development Experience in developing using web-technologies
- Experience with CSS, TypeScript and/orJavaScript
- Understanding of software development best practices
- Understanding of front-end performance and optimization.
- Strong communication and excellent troubleshooting skills
