Indigenous Business Australia, Screen Australia and No Coincidence Media, with support from Screen Queensland, have launched the First Nations Screen Business Accelerator Lab. The initiative supports emerging and mid-career Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander producers to elevate their projects and production companies.
Designed for individuals and majority-owned First Nations screen businesses with active projects in development, the program focuses on building capability in business strategy, slate development, financial planning and market readiness.
The initiative provides industry-leading mentorship and targeted business development support delivered through a culturally informed approach that reflects Indigenous ways of doing business within the realities of the contemporary screen industry.
The Accelerator Lab will focus on building sustainable creative businesses, and equipping participants with the skills, frameworks and support to scale their work for both national and international markets.
Successful applicants must be available for in-person sessions in Brisbane from Monday 31 August to Friday 4 September 2026, as well as online workshops throughout 2026 and into 2027. Session dates for 2027 will be confirmed.
