Head of Broken Road Productions, Todd has a track record of creating successful commercial motion pictures and has overseen, executive-produced, or produced an impressive 180 films, many of which have been major hits for their respective studios or streaming services.

Todd is currently in Queensland filming Runner, a Nickel City Pictures and A Higher Standard production starring Owen Wilson (Loki, The Royal Tenenbaums) and Alan Ritchson (Reacher). IJoin us to hear Todd share stories from his extensive career working on features like Black Hawk Down, Punch Drunk Love13 Going on 30, ClickDaddy Day Care and xXx as well as working in Queensland and navigating Hollywood.

ABOUT TODD GARNER

Garner began his career at Walt Disney Studios and went on to co-found Revolution Studios with Joe Roth in 2000, where they produced such hits as Anger Management, Black Hawk Down, Punch Drunk Love13 Going on 30, ClickDaddy Day CarexXx and America’s Sweethearts. He established Broken Road Productions in 2005 and in recent years, Garner’s productions have dominated the box office and streaming platforms.

Among those successes, Garner produced Mortal Kombat for Warner Brothers Studio (which opened at No. 1 at the box office and was HBO Max’s most streamed movie of 2021) and the comedy Vacation Friends (the top release of all time on the Hulu platform) as well as its sequel, Vacation Friends 2. Recently, Garner produced the high school comedy Incoming for Netflix, as well as Reunion, which is streaming on Paramount+. In 2022, he produced the Rebel Wilson comedy, Senior Year, which was the No. 1 watched film worldwide on Netflix when it debuted, and it finished in the top 10 most-viewed motion pictures on the streaming service for 2022. Garner also produced the theatrical film The Possession of Hannah Grace, which grossed $45 million on a $6 million budget for Sony Pictures’ Screen Gems.

Garner’s other notable successes include producing Sony Pictures’ Paul Blart: Mall Cop and its sequel, which together grossed more than $290 million worldwide on $25 million budgets. He also produced 20th Century Fox’s Knight and Day, starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz, which grossed more than $260 million worldwide; MGM’s family comedy Zookeeper, which grossed $170 million; and New Line’s Into the Storm, which grossed over $160 million at the box office. Garner also produced Tag and Isn’t It Romantic for New Line, and All My Life for Universal Pictures.

In addition to his work in film, Garner was executive producer of the MTV series Snack Off, as well as the Netflix series The Crew, starring Kevin James, and The Cabin, starring Bert Kreischer.

From 2018 to 2020, Garner shared his wealth of knowledge and experience in the movie business through his podcast The Producer’s Guide: Todd Garner and Hollywood’s Elite, which offered an in-depth look at the industry and provided valuable insights into what it takes to succeed as a producer today. He recorded 135 episodes, which included such guests as Adam Sandler, producer Stacy Sher, and Rebel Wilson.
