Make your film and television productions more sustainable or start your career as a Sustainability Coordinator through our free three-day workshop. North and Far North Queensland filmmakers, producers, crew and emerging practitioners can gain the skills and understanding to lead environmentally responsible productions across all stages of filmmaking.
The role of Sustainability Coordinator is a fast-emerging but highly sought-after area of expertise, as the wider industry is focusing on better practice and Screen Queensland is committed to creating a more sustainable screen industry as a founding member of Sustainable Screens Australia.
Learn about climate science, sustainable production practices, green storytelling, carbon tracking and day-to-day processes on the ground with sustainability consultant Zachary Lurje.
Zachary is an experienced Sustainability Coordinator who was originally supported by the Screen Queensland/Fremantle Australia trainee program on Rock Island Mysteries.
One participant from the workshop will have the opportunity to join an upcoming local production in a Sustainability Coordinator role.
Participants are required to bring a laptop or notebook and pen, and their own lunch and water bottle.
Places are strictly limited and preference will be given to local practitioners.
The NQ Screen Skills: Sustainability Coordinator workshop is delivered as part of our North Queensland Regional Program.
