Friday 8 March is International Women’s Day and with the 2024 theme of ‘invest in women: accelerate progress’ in mind, we spoke to just some of the incredibly talented Queensland women who make up our exciting industry to seek some advice they would give share with others from the sector. 

At Screen Queensland, we are dedicated to investing in women across all facets of the screen industry. We champion inclusive and diverse narratives, supporting the advancement of women and gender-diverse practitioners both on and off the screen. While historically male-dominated, the film, television, and gaming sectors now boast a pool of immensely talented and innovative women who are reshaping the landscape, dismantling power imbalances, and driving progress from within.
