Screen Queensland is proud to sponsor the Brisbane Festival event, First Nations Fashion: Walking in Two Worlds, by multicultural Australian artist, Grace Lillian Lee.
Screen Queensland is offering 15 Queensland-based costume and production designers the opportunity to attend the event on the evening of 5 September 2021 at South Bank Piazza,
BOQ Festival Garden (410 Stanley St, South Brisbane). The live stage production will showcase cutting-edge design incorporated with screen elements.
Applications are encouraged from both emerging and established practitioners. To apply, submit your CV by Monday 30 August 9:00am, together with a brief rationale about how this experience will benefit your career and creative practice within the Queensland screen industry.
Bringing together a selection of contemporary garments and textiles by First Nations designers, multicultural Australian artist, Grace Lillian Lee, has created a literal platform in way of a runway for cultural celebration. Involving designers from across Australia and 20 local models, First Nations Fashion: Walking In Two Worlds is an exemplary showcasing of Indigenous fashion, dance, film and live music.
Brisbane Festival runs 3-25 September.
