Screen Queensland has today confirmed that there’s a new game coming to town with BLUEY’S HAPPY SNAPS, inviting players to discover Bluey’s world like never before.

Supported by the Queensland Government through Screen Queensland, the game has been developed in Bluey’s home state by Gameloft Brisbane in close collaboration with Ludo Studio and BBC Studios and will launch on PC, consoles and for real life in Spring 2026.

The announcement highlights Queensland’s growing capability in digital games development, with Brisbane continuing to attract global studios and deliver projects for international audiences.

Since establishing its studio in 2014, Gameloft Brisbane has expanded from a team of 15 developers to more than 130 employees. Games developed at the studio are played by audiences in more than 100 countries, reflecting the strength and global reach of Queensland’s digital sector.

Queensland is emerging as a global hub for game development, contributing to the $608.5 million in revenue generated by Australian game development studios in 2025 (IGEA 2025 Industry Snapshot).

Jacqui Feeney, CEO of Screen Queensland, said the agency was proud to support the project through its Digital Games Incentive.

“This innovative new game brings together the best of Queensland’s creative ecosystem to expand the world of Bluey, showcasing Brisbane and delighting families around the world.”

Ros Bates, Minister for Finance, Trade, Employment and Training, said having Queensland developers behind BLUEY’S HAPPY SNAPS highlighted the strength of the state’s games industry.

“Queensland is quickly becoming a leading hub for video game development and it’s fantastic to see our creativity on display on the world stage.”

Manea Castet, Head of Studio at Gameloft Brisbane, said the industry continued to present strong opportunities for growth.

“With initiatives such as the Digital Games Tax Offset and support from screen agencies, Australia is well positioned to attract investment and deliver globally successful projects.”

BLUEY’S HAPPY SNAPS was supported by Screen Queensland’s Post, Digital and Visual Effects (PDV) Incentive. For more information visit screenqueensland.com.au.
