Screen Queensland is proud to present an online in-conversation with Tommy Harper, producer of the Netflix Original sci-fi feature film Escape From Spiderhead, which recently wrapped on the Gold Coast.

Escape from Spiderhead is based on a short sci-fi story by American author George Saunders and is set in a dystopian future. A prison inmate tries to out-smart his overseers who have subjected him and fellow inmate to emotion-altering experimental drugs.

Escape From Spiderhead is supported by Screen Queensland through the Queensland Government’s Production Attraction Strategy.

Tommy Harper is a US-based Producer and Director. Producer and Executive Producer credits include Top Gun: Maverick, Star Trek Beyond, Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens and Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. As an Assistant Director, Tommy has worked on Star Trek, Next, Mission: Impossible III, The Princess Diaries, Big Fish, Miss Congeniality and Gone in 60 Seconds.
