August 11, 2020
Closing Date: Monday 7 September, 2020

Applications close 5.00pm Monday 7th September, with successful applicants to be notified by early October 2020.

Screen Queensland in partnership with the Asian Animation Summit (AAS), is calling-out for Queensland projects to be presented at the 2020 AAS taking place virtually from 16 November – 4 December 2020.

The AAS is a unique showcase for producers of new animated children’s series seeking finance and production partners in the Asia-Pacific region. The event has been the launchpad for a significant number of Australian animated series including Queensland series Balloon Barnyard (Like A Photon Creative), The Strange Chores and Bluey (Ludo Studio).

Two Queensland projects in development will be selected to participate in the co-development or showcase program where producers will have the opportunity to pitch to content-makers, distributors, investors and broadcasters from across the Asia-Pacific region.

AAS Virtual is owned and produced by Kidscreen, with generous support from regional partners including BAPAREKRAF (Indonesia), Screen Queensland and Create NSW (Australia), MDEC (Malaysia), DITP (Thailand) and VIPO (Japan).

All applicants must meet the Asian Animation Summit eligibility criteria for the showcase or co-development program and submit an executed Presentation Waiver with their application.
