Screen Queensland opens tender submissions to deliver Brisbane International Film Festival

Screen Queensland is calling for tender submissions to deliver the capital’s most well-loved film festival – Brisbane  International Film Festival (BIFF) – from 2021 to 2023.

With the current booming state of the Queensland screen industry, here is an exciting opportunity for a potential arts and/or cinema organisation to respond to the public’s growing appetite for diverse storytelling on screen.

As one of the city’s flagship annual festivals, with a proud heritage and loyal audiences that attend year in and year out, Brisbane International Film Festival is a cultural institution, bringing the best in cinematic fare from around the world to Brisbane, while also showcasing new offerings from Queensland’s talented pool of filmmakers.

The successful applicant, who will be required to demonstrate evidence of matched third party finance or in-kind support, will receive up to $250,000 in funding per festival, with a total contribution of $750,000 over three years through Screen Queensland’s Screen Culture program.

Submissions have been extended to close 5pm, Friday 29 January 2021. Contact screenculture@screenqld.com.au for further information.
