Screen Queensland Partners with Creatives Loop International

TO CONNECT QUEENSLAND PRODUCERS TO GLOBAL MARKETS

Screen Queensland has partnered with screen business development specialists Creatives Loop International to offer 10 Queensland producers with strong slates a tailored consultancy program to refine their pitches and expand their global networks with distributors, commissioners and studios.

Based in London and Berlin, Creatives Loop tailors strategies for independent producers to develop and sell their projects in the international marketplace.

The 10 Queensland recipients of Creatives Loop’s esteemed International Roadmap Program will engage in over eight weeks of virtual roundtables and one-on-one sessions to select new target markets, perfect pitch materials and delivery, and set-up meetings with key industry decision-makers.

Screen Queensland’s Chief Creative Officer, Jo Dillon said this partnership with Creatives Loop aligns with the state screen agency’s mission to support the production of diverse, locally-made screen content for global audiences.

“The International Roadmap Program will grant local producers invaluable access to Creatives Loop’s deep expertise, market intel and an enviable network of broadcasters, buyers, distributors and co-production partners across 29 global territories.

“This is an extraordinary opportunity, designed to compensate for local producers not being able to travel to international markets during the pandemic.

“From Cairns to the South-East, we encourage Queensland producers with a strong slate of projects in development – including series, feature film, factual program or documentary – to apply,” Ms Dillon said.

Nicola Pinder, Managing Director of Creatives Loop International, said submissions are sought from producers with projects with strong international audience appeal.

“Since 2010, we have facilitated more than 700 deals worth approximately $US758 million with such high-profile international companies as Netflix, ITV, Fremantle, Studiocanal and the BBC.

“We look forward to reviewing the submissions and helping Queensland creatives to outline strategic pathways to make their productions a reality,” said Ms Pinder.

Online applications are open now on screenqueensland.com.au and close Friday 27 August 2021.
