As part of the 2015 NYFA Showrunner Masterclass Initiative, in conjunction with Screen Queensland and Screen Australia, NYFA will present television Showrunner and X-Files EP, Glen Morgan in a public four hour seminar plus Q&A session on Saturday 2 May, 1.00pm – 5.00pm at the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts in Fortitude Valley.

The purpose of the Showrunner Masterclass Initiative is to bring international television executive producing knowledge and experience to emerging and established writers and producers in Queensland, as they seek to explore and develop their own content for the television medium.

Glen Morgan is an American television producer, writer and director best known for his screen work with long-time writing partner James Wong, including The X-Files, Millennium, Space: Above and Beyond, and the Final Destination series. Morgan is also the Creator and Executive Producer of Intruders, which premiered on BBC America in 2014. Glen will also be Executive Producer and Writer on theX-Files ‘reboot’ that has just been announced.

During this event, Glen will cover such topics as (but not limited to):

– The Writers Room

– The State of the Market

– Engaging Networks & Studios

– Production Partnerships

– The Art & Craft of The Showrunner

Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask Glen questions about his knowledge and experience in all of these areas.
