Screen Queensland has announced the appointment of its new VP of Development and Production, Amal Baggar who will commence in early September 2016.
Amal joins Screen Queensland from her current base in Los Angeles where she worked for Ridley Scott’s company, Scott Free Productions, in West Hollywood for eight years and held different roles including Vice President and Creative Executive, Film Production and Development.
Co-producing Concussion starring Will Smith for Sony Pictures, Amal’s extensive experience includes collaborating with writers and directors in researching and developing projects and ideas, scouting new talent, script development, and working with independent financiers, film studios and television networks.
She also worked for Creative Artists Agency in Beverly Hills holding the position of Executive Assistant to Motion Picture Literary Agents, Tory Metzger and Maha Dakhil.

Amal Baggar will be relocating to Brisbane and will commence at Screen Queensland in early September 2016.
