Applications Now Open for Mid-Career Producers to Attend World Congress of Science and Factual Producers (WCSFP)
Applications close 5.00pm, Friday 5 October

Screen Queensland will offer up to five mid-career factual producers full registration to the World Congress of Science and Factual Producers (WCSFP) – with two of the registrations for producers from regional Queensland.

To be held in Brisbane from November 27-30, WCSFP brings together leading international content producers with broadcasters, OTT platforms and digital publishers. With over 700 international delegates from more than 25 countries, including key decision makers from Discovery Channel, National Geographic, Netflix, PBS, ABC, ARTE, BBC, NHK and more, the WCSFP is a must-attend event for those working in science, history and other non-fiction content production and exhibition.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with delegates and decision makers as well as gain essential market intelligence.
Applicants must be eligible for Screen Queensland’s Domestic Market Funding ( CLICK HERE for the guidelines) and have a slate of projects that would benefit from attendance at the WCSFP. Applications will be assessed on the strength of the producer’s slate and their strategy around market attendance.

The following application materials are required:

· One-pagers for at least two proposed projects;
· Evidence of any market interest in projects (where available);
· CV and bio for attending producer;
· A statement outlining your strategy at the market including key potential meetings and how attendance will benefit the development of your projects and your own professional development.

Applications close 5.00pm, Friday 5 October, with successful candidates being notified in late October. As well as registration, successful regional applicants will also receive $750 towards the cost of travel and accommodation.
