Screen Queensland supporting series two of The Code
Screen Queensland today announced it will provide production investment funding to the second series of The Code, which will commence production in Queensland in 2015.
The highly-acclaimed political thriller from producers Playmaker Media, the creative force behind other successful television dramas including Love Child and House Husbands, is being made for broadcaster ABC TV.
“We are thrilled to be opening our doors to Playmaker Media for the production of the second series of The Code. Series 1 commanded the attention of the nation and audience’s off-shore; it will be a highly anticipated series return,” said Screen Queensland CEO Tracey Vieira.
Playmaker’s David Maher said, “Shelley Birse has created a gripping sequel to The Code, which will again race between the corridors of power and the furthest reaches of Australia and we’re hugely excited to be shooting in Queensland.”
