SQ selects high concept sci-fi series for eQuinoxe 2015

Screen Queensland has selected an ambitious television series in development to be part of the eQuinoxe Australia 2015 workshop. Saviour – by Queensland screenwriter Anthony Mullins (The Strange Calls; The Bourne Legacy: Operation Intel; Slide) – is produced by Ian Collie, Essential Media & Entertainment. The project, selected from a high-class field, will be one of six Australian and one New Zealand projects to be taken through the renowned professional screenwriting program, hailed by Screen International as Europe’s leading script development program, and celebrated for its rigour and the high production strike rate for selected projects.

The SQ-supported team will take part in a seven day residential screenwriting workshop in the Margaret River region of Western Australia from Friday 28 August to Friday 4 September as part of the CinefestOz Film Festival. SQ’s support of eQuinoxe Australia is part of a continued effort to recognise the unique voices of the state’s most talented writers and to build upon meaningful, outcome-focused development opportunities that strive for excellence and mass audience appeal.

SQ would like to thank all applicants for their efforts. The quality of the teams and projects were extremely high and made for an exciting and competitive process.
