SQ to support local games practitioners to attend Game Connect Asia Pacific


Friday 9 October 2015: SQ is proud to announce it has rolled out a new travel support initiative specifically for Queenslanders working in the games sector.
SQ will provide funding to support up to three local practitioners to attend the Game Connect Asia Pacific (GCAP), Australia’s premier game development conference from 27 – 28 October at the Melbourne Convention Centre. 

The initiative will cover event registration, plus a contribution towards travel and accommodation for the duration of the conference and is designed to support Queensland games developers who identify as being in early to mid-career stage. Please note the grant will be capped at $1,000.00.

This opportunity will enable successful applicants to engage with industry experts and market players in order to grow the state’s gaming capacity.

Applications open 5.00pm (AEST) today, Friday 9 October and close 5.00pm (AEST) Friday 16 October 2015.

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA

Applications will be assessed on Screen Queensland’s standard Domestic Marketing & Travel criteria with a focus on building the career and slate of Early to mid career games practitioners.
