Screen Queensland (SQ) is offering support for Queensland documentary producers to attend the 2017 AIDC. SQ will provide funding to assist up to six (6) local practitioners to attend the conference which runs from 5 – 8 March 2017 at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) in Melbourne.
The AIDC is Australia’s premier event for documentary, factual and unscripted screen content. Featuring a four-day marketplace, forum and screening program, AIDC attracts a diverse mix of broadcasters, storytellers, entrepreneurs and documentary fans from Australia, the Asia-Pacific and beyond. AIDC is committed to connecting creators, purveyors and viewers of non-fiction screen content in ways that promote business, inspire creativity and ignite social change.
> SQ funding will be provided to support up to three (3) established practitioners with a demonstrable track record, and three (3) early to mid-career practitioners.
> SQ funding is to assist with early bird event registration, travel and accommodation is capped at AUD $1,000.
All successful producers will also be automatically shortlisted for the chance to take part in a two-day Virtual Reality workshop: Making Virtual A Practical Reality taking place between 4 – 5 March (ahead of the main conference.) Two participants will be selected to take part in this stand-alone VR workshop by the organisers of AIDC.
