MIFF 37ºSouth Market brings the global film financing marketplace to Melbourne in the opening days of MIFF. Australia’s only film co-financing market in a film festival environment, MIFF 37ºSouth Market enables Australian producers with market-ready feature-length projects to meet with key international film co-financiers in Melbourne. The emphasis is on producers pitching projects to financiers with the aim of deepening marketplace relationships and generating financier interest in their slates.

Accelerator Lab provides four days of workshops, screenings, seminars and networking events on the business and creative aspects of the film industry by leading local and international film practitioners for 15-20 short film directors who have had their short selected for screening at MIFF and are seeking to make the transition to feature film making.

Up to $1,000 per individual or $1,500 per team is available to help with the cost of flights, accommodation, transport and registration fees.

Applicants must apply utilising the Market Funding 2018/19 application form on SmartyGrants. Prior to applying, applicants should read the Market Funding guidelines on the Screen Queensland website here to ensure they are eligible.
