GamesCom – Market Support

May 6, 2022

Australia has been selected as the official partner country of Gamescom 2022, the world’s largest event for video games and Europe’s leading business platform for the games industry.

Screen Queensland – in collaboration with Austrade, Trade and Investment Queensland, Investment New South Wales, Creative Victoria, The South Australian Department of Trade and Investment, The South Australian Film Corporation and Screenwest – has partnered with the Interactive Games and Entertainment Association (IGEA) to organise and manage an Australian pavilion stand at Gamescom, in Cologne, Germany from 24-28 August.

The opportunity will accommodate more than twenty Australian games developers/studios, including five from Queensland, and includes access to the stand (including three passes per studio), meeting planning tools, marketing support, internet, access to private rooms and pre-attendance training.

Through the Market Program, Screen Queensland will support five Queensland game developers/studios to attend. Support will be granted to five Queensland-based developers attending, with up to $5,000 granted for individuals and up to $7,500 granted for teams.

To be considered for support and join the Australian stand, applicants must register via IGEA’s expression of interest form by Monday 16 May, 5pm AEST.
