Opened in 2019, the Hemmant facility is purpose-built for low to mid-range budget productions seeking quality sound stages, convenience and versatility. Surrounded by Queensland’s stunning natural and urban landscapes – from beaches and bays to rainforest and riverfront cityscapes – its the perfect canvas for your next story.

Screen Queensland Studios, Brisbane and Cairns are available to hire for commercial and creative productions—including feature films, television series, short films, TVCs, music videos, events, photoshoots and more.

The dry hire facility offers:

  • a total lettable area of 16,000sqm total | 173,000sqft
  • two sound stages — both 3000mx 7m h | 32,291ft2 x 32.6ft h
  • two warehouses
  • one mixed used building
  • production offices
  • eight green rooms
  • 200 parking spaces.

LOCATION SCOUTING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

To complement our stunning natural locations and studio network, we also offer Location Scouting Assistance and maintain an initiative that forms a bridge between local government and incoming productions called the Film Friendly Council program. Screen Queensland offers bespoke location assistance in the footloose stage of a production including a tailored script breakdown, locations presentation and assistance in liaising with third parties.
